Course Description
You know what Excel does, you even know basic formulas and can create a worksheet from scratch but you are frustrated with formatting and display issues. Welcome to the world of Excel! In this workshop explore basic and custom formatting, cell styles, themes and conditional formatting. You will use Excel to manage multiple worksheets and larger workbooks. Excel logical, date and time and text functions are also a focus in this short 3-hour session.
Course Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this course, you will have used advanced formatting, formulas and functions and have worked with larger workbooks in an efficient manner.
You will:
- Apply Text, Number Formats and Styles
- Use Conditional Formatting
- Manage Large Workbooks using Views and Modifications
- Work with Ranges and Specialized Functions
Target Student:
This course is intended for students who know how to create a basic worksheet and use basic formulas and functions and need to use formatting and specialized functions efficiently. If you work with larger workbooks, this session will address shortcuts and tips for reporting and data entry.
Prerequisites:
To ensure success the participant already knows how to create and edit a basic worksheet and use basic formulas and functions. See Excel: What it Offers and How to Use it, if you need to obtain these skills prior.
